The need
Thousands of children are waiting for care that medicine already knows how to provide.
Around 15,000 children are born in Egypt each year with congenital heart defects requiring medical intervention.
Current system-wide capacity is estimated at about 7,000 surgeries annually. The result is a major treatment gap driven by infrastructure, not by a lack of clinical possibility.
