In 2022, building upon seven years of accumulated experience, successive successes, and the pressing need to expand our services to accommodate more children due to the high demand in this specialty and lengthy waiting lists, approval was granted to allocate approximately 20,000 square meters of land to Aish Hospital. This strategically located site in the 10th of Ramadan City is near the airport and well-connected by various transportation means, ensuring easy access both domestically and internationally.
A Board of Trustees comprising a select group of the world’s leading pediatric heart surgeons has been established to enhance the hospital’s medical and therapeutic vision. Additionally, architectural plans have been completed in collaboration with one of the world’s largest engineering firms to design the first phase of the hospital. This phase will be equipped with all necessary facilities and technologies, with a capacity to perform between 1,500 to 2,000 pediatric heart surgeries annually—five times the current hospital’s capacity—addressing over 20–30% of the deficit in congenital heart disease treatment services for children in Egypt. Our vision aims to eliminate the existing gap in pediatric congenital heart cases by completing all phases of the hospital.
Today, we announce the completion of all construction permits for the project and our readiness to commence immediate construction work for the new expansion. This development represents a remarkable milestone for civil society organizations striving for sustainability in pediatric healthcare.
We invite you now to donate towards the dream of building the hospital’s new expansion, achieving long-term sustainability with a lasting impact to save the lives of over 7,000 children in Egypt suffering from congenital heart defects.
